OP, how many layers were in the document on which you were working? For this test I copied my bg layer about ten times. The cursor indicating the brush slightly increased in size while I held down Alt but that was it. Just for grins I held Alt and clicked to see if the blur brush would do anything like the paint brush when we sample colors, but no. OP, are you using a mouse, trackpad, or stylus/tablet? I'm wondering if something within the input device's settings might be causing the circles.Ĭould you describe more what those circles look like? How thick are the circles? Do they resemble anything else you've seen while using Ps? I tried with Sample All Layers ticked and unticked. I wasn't successful in reproducing the circles that the OP mentioned. I also liked it better when pressure sensitivity was on, either from the options bar or from brush settings. I also discovered that hardness vs softness made a difference. I had to google for where to find it so I could try it out.Ī few things I discovered were that even at 100% strength, it gradually built up the blur.
